While down on Washington Avenue this weekend, we popped into a new bar....Shiver, 1130 Washington Avenue. It was very cool. It was empty when we went in...though it was earlier in the evening. They have a vodka bar in a freezer....like Erney's on Manchester.
Last night I went to see the burlesque show at the Atomic Cowboy's expanded annex....The Fox Hole. Lola van Ella's Bon Bons Burlesque Revue was certainly in top performance and delighted the crowd. The next show is September 26th...I think there will be one at 9 PM and 11 PM.
Ernie's 32 Degree bar opened in The Grove at 4199 Manchester. It took over the old AMP Bar space. This Jimmy Jamieson designed bar is very swank and features a walk-in 32 degree vodka room.
Saturday night the Thaxton Speakeasy opened. It was quite a stylish venue that I hear you can rent out for private parties also. Located at 1009 Olive Street
