I love the unmade bed.....this is what really gave me a chuckle. Though what is in the lower right side of the pic....I think it may be a walker....now I am feeling bad that this person is handicapped and I am poking fun. Don't you think the the realtor could have helped out and at least fluffed and spread out the duvet?

The last couple of days I was in Portland, Oregon. Portland has a vibrant downtown that was busy even in the evening with pedestrians. The weather was in the 50's. Do you know they can raise camellias in their gardens? I am jealous. I stayed at one of the Kimpton Hotels...Hotel Monaco. I have always liked the Kimpton chain since the hotels are smaller boutique venues, they allow pets and the decorating is fun. There is also a wine happy hour!
On New Year's Eve I went to a lovely party in Compton Heights. See the pictures from yesterday. Here are some shots to the wallpaper. This kind of wallpaper treatment is not for every house...though it fits perfectly in this vintage mansion.

Red Rooms add drama to a house and a punch of color. Diana Vreeland use to say every room needed a little red....like every woman needed to wear lipstick.
Here is a house for sale in Town & Country. I wonder if they named their child Arial? If I were them, I would invest the money they are paying a child psychologist and invest it in repainting this poor child's room. I wonder if the child tells the psychologist "I feel like I am drowning at home!". How do you sleep when a giant octopus is lurking around the corner.

This $1.2 million dollar Frontenac home was supposedly featured in the Architectural Digest. It must have been during the 80's when teal, mauve and purple were king. I think I would look as unhappy as those plants in the atrium living in that interior.
