It is unfortunate about the condition of Old North St. Louis and that most locals never go to this area unless they are going to Crown Candy Kitchen. I drove around there the other day and was happy to see the the mall near Crown Candy kitchen is all redone and looks great. There are some lovely old homes still standing in the area. See the beauty below on St. Louis Avenue.
Hi Ted,
Have you heard that there is a National Register of historic places district nomination pending for the neighborhood? It's actually referred to as St. Louis Place. See the link to Preservation Research Office's website for details.
Coincidentally this neighborhood is in the heart of Paul McKee's Northside Regeneration redevelopment project.

I love it! This post was really incredible. The architectural designs was very well studied I am sure of that, and the color was perfect.
