Hi Roger,

I'm sorry that I can't offer you any information on your family, but I would like to relay a personal comment about Medarts.

I'm an only child and my parents and I lived in Creve Coeur, MO from 1947 through 1957.

Medarts in Clayton was a favorite dining spot for my parents and many of their friends. From the time I was about 5 years old my parents always included me in visits to Medarts. I loved going there, was fascinated by the d├ęcor and little private dining areas, and the wait staff always made me feel like a little adult. I also always enjoyed the food whatever I ordered. My parents had introduced me to higher quality food early in life, as my mother was a gourmet cook.

In short, Medarts will always be a very fond memory to me, and I'm now 70 years old. At least the original building seems to have withstood the many years since.

I hope you find the information you're looking for.

Robert
